20090119 Mon Arose 7 bright and early had a coffee then a
walk on the beech, the sun was trying to come up, the sky was really red it
looked great, got a few pics, had breakfast washed shaved and generally cleaned
up. Got the Moto out of the garage had a flat tyre so pumped it up and set off
down the coast to La Cala, called in to see Daren a mate of mine staying near
their. Had a couple of cups of tea while we caught up then tripped on to see my
Aunty Sheila and Annette in Fuengirola. Gave them both a nice surprise, stayed
for lunch and chatted the afternoon away. They are both fine and well and will
be joining me for lunch on Wed in the motor home at the sea shore. Did a bit of
food shopping then back to the van for tea. Had another stroll on the beech. A
few problems with the phone today not connecting but got it sorted out finally.
Just been watching lots of sail boarders riding the waves, its been quite windy
today, the sun has just gone down so I'm settling down with a glass of port and
another early night. 8pm
20090120 Tue Arose 6 had a good meditation, coffee and a
walk on the beech, although still dark, then breakfast and a long walk watching
the sunrise. cleaned up in the van then sat outside reading for a while in the
morning sun. In the afternoon had a run on the Moto to La Cala for a couple of
bits and called at Darens for a coffee then had a little exploratory tour round
Cabopino Port. After lunch a little more sorting out in the van, a bit more
reading then watched the sunset had dinner and settled down for the night.
20090121 Wed Arose 7 meditated, walked on the beech, had
breakfast then had a run to Calahonda for some shopping, made lunch for Aunty
Sheila & Annette, enjoyed a nice bottle of red with lunch it was a lovely sunny
day. Later on I sat in the sun and read for a while, then met Paul and Molly
from Essex who arrived today chatted for a while over a cup of tea then with a
few drinks after tea before retiring about 10pm.
20090122 Thu Arose 8 meditated then had a walk over to
the campsite chatted to a guy over their then walked back. Decided to disconnect
the main electronics box to see if there were any blown fuses inside, stripped
it right down but found nothing, so connected it all back up but still the 240v
input is not charging either of the batteries, so still relying on the solar
panel. Had a run down to Fuengirola called at La Cala for a few bits en route.
Met Bob and Maggie today from Kendal, had a good chat in the afternoon. Made
dinner then as it got dark went to get 50 litres of water because I was getting
low, had found a tap on the beech at the side of one of the restaurant, slowly
carried the water back then settled down for the night with a book and a glass
or two.
20090123 Fri Arose 8 meditated again, trying to get back
into the habit, showered, shaved and had a walk to the internet cafe close by,
got back then chatted to the Viking for a few hours, had a quick lunch then
found I had a puncture in the rear tyre of the motorcycle, blew it up but it
only lasted 50 meters so chatted with Bob and Maggie then made a curry for dinner
and chilled out. Will go on the bus to Fuengirola tomorrow, arranged to meet
Aunty Sheila at 10:30am.
20090124 Sat Arose 7 meditated and had breakfast, sorted
out everything ready to catch the bus to Fuengirola. Got the 9:15
arrived about 9:45, replaced a bottle of gas for Aunty
Sheila and also got a Spanish bottle for me, had a good walk round Fuengirola
and acquired a few supplied and lots of exercise it was dry but windy very
refreshing. Helped Aunty Sheila with a few tasks around the house and used the
computer for a while. Annette made a lovely Lasagna which we had for dinner
with a nice bottle of wine. Later Annette ran me back to the motor home with the
nearly acquired full bottle of lpg, retired about 10pm after a great day.
20090125 Sun Arose 8 after meditating, hope I can keep it
up, going well so far, wrote up my notes and roughly planned the day. Don't know
what I am going to do with all the food, still got a full pan of curry and a
double portion of lasagna over from last night. It rained a little today so I
took advantage and washed part of the outside of the van while it was raining,
visited the internet cafe then got the bus to La Cala and walked on to Darens,
Nick and Abraham were their. We spent the evening chatting while Daren had a leg
of lamb in the oven, when it was cooked we all had a feast, later Nick gave me a
lift home, got another 25l of water before retiring at 11pm.
